Shikami - WIP

I'm posting this as a work in progress because, well, I'm stuck. I've been working on this for an embarrassingly long time. It started out as a drawing I was going to color with markers, then that sucked so I scanned it on my PC and started slowly working on it in Photoshop about once every 3 months or so. Finally I realized that if I ever wanted to finish it I'd have to move it off there somewhere else, so I exported it, layer by layer, into Procreate on my iPad where I did about 85% of it. Holy frig you guys!

I've gotten about as far as Procreate can take it. I am very pleased with how the "mask" turned out, and the hand. The demon face, also very not bad, and I think the values are pretty OK too. But it just looks...empty. Un-dynamic. Maybe I've just been looking at it too long, but I don't know what else it needs.

So I'm turning on advanced critique here. If you got any suggestions—that don't require starting the stupid thing over, because, no. Just no. But if you got ideas, I'd love to hear 'em.
